I know I can’t be the only person excited about the pictures coming in from the LRO (Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter) currently in orbit around the moon.
On July 21st, 1969, Neil Armstrong and “Buzz” Aldrin became the first humans to step foot on another world. After centuries of looking at the moon in the sky, humans built a craft to safely bring a crew to the moon – and home again.
The moon landing took place before I was born, but it still seems incredible! Which is why I LOVE seeing these pictures from the LRO. This is a picture of the Apollo 11 landing site. This is the highest resolution picture received so far. The picture is so clear, you can see the pads on the lander – and you can even make out the paths where the astronauts walked around on the surface!
The amazing thing to me is that there are people out there who continue to deny the moon landing ever happened. These pictures won’t convince the die-hard conspiracy folks (they’ll just say these were doctored), but these pictures should be enough to convince any reasonable person that people have actually walked on the moon.
It’s truely amazing what people are able to accomplish when they set their mind to it.

It’s amazing to ME that there are people out there who continue to deny the existence of God and that creation ever happened. The world around us won’t convince the die-hard atheists/agnostics (they’ll just say there was a big bang or something similar), but the world itself should be enough to convince any reasonable person that God exists and that He created all things.
“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? Don’t blame me, if your God exists, it is he who decided to make things look as if he was never here to begin with.
Darn atheists, always looking at the evidence. If they could just ignore the real world and pay attention to the superstitious writings from a bunch of bronze-age goat herders, then they would know the truth!
As long as they don’t actually look at it too closely.
